Nowadays, the application of CNC machining centers for custom furniture cutting machines has become a market prospect. It's important to note that cutting machines are actually composed of some high-quality components. However, even the best parts will inevitably encounter issues during continuous use. Let's focus on discussing the water-cooled vacuum pump of the cutting machine.
The issue of adsorption in cutting machines is actually closely related to the water-cooled vacuum pump. Many high-speed five-axis machining center manufacturers will equip vacuum pumps based on customer satisfaction, but they often fail to mention common issues, leading to many problems for customers during use.
Currently, the water-cooled vacuum pumps equipped in the market are generally 4.5kw, 5.5kw, 7.5kw, etc., and the adsorption strength of vacuum pumps with different power outputs also varies.
Every time the vacuum pump is turned on, it should be ensured that there is cutting fluid inside the vacuum pump, and the working fluid level should reach above the motor shaft tenon!
The water-circulating vacuum pump should be equipped with a vacuum pump cover to prevent impurities from entering the pump.
A check valve should be installed to prevent water from flowing back into the equipment when the motor is turned off.
Fill the water tank with water until water flows out of the inlet. Water should be added regularly every day to keep the water tank sufficiently filled during operation.
Before starting, make sure that the valve is fully open and water has been introduced into the pump before starting the vacuum pump.
The vent hole should not be blocked. Air should be sucked in through the vent to generate vacuum pump pressure. Do not connect pipes longer than 1m or with a diameter less than 5cm, as overloading can easily damage the motor.
The intake port and the adsorption port of the cutting machine should be tightly sealed to prevent air leakage.
Before the first start-up, rotate the motor cooling fan to prevent stalling (this step may not be necessary as the manufacturer will check this during production, and it is usually not a big issue).
Install a motor overcurrent protector to prevent the motor from being burned out due to overload.
Open the water filling valve inside the pump and wait for a few minutes to ensure that water is injected into the pump during operation.
Start the motor, and the vacuum pump will begin to work. Check the adsorption strength.
After the equipment has been operating for about 10 days, drain the calcium and magnesium ions from the vacuum pump and replace them with clean water to prevent impurities from entering the pump, which can reduce adsorption and also prevent the water tank from rusting.
