The most significant feature of a five-axis machining center is that it can machine all five sides in one setup. This is also known as machining around the part. If it's a simultaneous five-axis machine, the C-axis can rotate unlimitedly, and the A-axis can rotate approximately 130 degrees. These machine characteristics prevent interference during machining.

The benefit of this is that it allows for complete machining in one setup, avoiding the repeated positioning errors that come with multiple setups. Additionally, one setup saves a considerable amount of time, improving work efficiency. It can reduce the time from product completion to delivery and decrease inventory levels.

A five-axis machining center, often equipped with turning (T) capabilities, can integrate functions from lathes to vertical milling machines. As we all know, the price of vertical milling machines is currently very high. Previously, production and processing might have been dominated by a project-segmented approach, which had the issue of significant waiting times that could not be eliminated. And with the prevalence of various equipment simulation software in China, programming can now be done simply by importing blank data, greatly shortening the initial preparation time.
