Everyone is talking about Swiss-type lathe processing, and they are constantly seeking methods for CNC Swiss-type lathe processing. To put it simply, the methods mainly revolve around two aspects: one is processing efficiency, and the other is processing stability. These two aspects are closely related to the annual output value generated by Swiss-type lathes for manufacturing factories.

  1. Improving the processing efficiency of Swiss-type lathes:

a. Perform the final processing step on the main spindle. The two spindles are relatively close to each other, which results in better surface smoothness. The smaller the cantilever length of the part, the better.

b. Before the cutting process, use high-efficiency back-turning to perform the final machining on the workpiece diameter. Completing the cutting in one pass helps reduce vibration.

c. Ultimately, CNC Swiss-type lathes primarily perform the final finishing on the sub-spindle. This process in Swiss-type lathes belongs to internal diameter processing, but it can also be external diameter processing.

  1. Enhancing the stability of the entire Swiss-type lathe processing process:

a. When using a Swiss-type lathe for processing, it is usually necessary to perform cylindrical turning and milling on the main spindle. Utilizing guide posts to support the round bar enhances the stability of the Swiss-type lathe processing.

b. Secondly, when turning the external cylinder on the main spindle, it is better to complete the cutting with a deeper cut in one pass. This can reduce the turning time and improve processing stability.

c. When performing milling operations, it is advisable to start with face milling. Additionally, due to the limited output power and stability of the Swiss-type lathe's rotating axis, the lower the milling speed, the better. Face milling on a Swiss-type lathe can meet this requirement.
