Carbide milling cutters are typically used in CNC machining centers and CNC engraving machines. They can also be mounted on conventional milling machines to process some relatively hard but uncomplicated heat-treated materials.

1. Carbide saw blade milling cutters: Used for machining deep grooves and cutting off workpieces, with numerous teeth on their circumference. To reduce friction during milling, there is a secondary relief angle of 15′ to 1° on both sides of the teeth. In addition, there are keyway milling cutters, dovetail milling cutters, T-slot milling cutters, and various forming milling cutters.

2. Carbide cylindrical milling cutters: Used for machining flat surfaces on horizontal milling machines. The teeth are distributed around the circumference of the milling cutter and are classified into straight teeth and helical teeth based on their shape. They are also divided into coarse teeth and fine teeth based on the number of teeth. Helical coarse-toothed milling cutters have fewer teeth, high tooth strength, and large chip holding space, making them suitable for rough machining; fine-toothed milling cutters are suitable for finish machining.

3. Carbide end milling cutters: Used for machining grooves and stepped surfaces, with teeth on both the circumference and the end face. They cannot feed axially during operation. However, when the end milling cutter has end teeth passing through the center, axial feeding is possible.

4. Carbide face milling cutters: Used for machining flat surfaces on vertical milling machines, face milling machines, or gantry milling machines. The teeth are located on both the end face and the circumference, and they are also divided into coarse teeth and fine teeth. Their structures include solid, insert, and indexable types.

5. Carbide angular milling cutters: Used for milling grooves at a certain angle, with single-angle and double-angle milling cutters available.

6. Carbide three-edge milling cutters: Used for machining various grooves and stepped surfaces, with teeth on both lateral surfaces and the circumference.
