Regarding the current status of five-axis CNC tool grinders, China's CNC tool grinders are still in the initial imitation stage, with very few intermediate-level CNC tool grinders and virtually no mature products. Overseas five-axis CNC tool grinders are relatively mature, with high precision, speed, and rigidity, as well as comprehensive functions, representing the current development trend of CNC tool grinders.
Before starting the five-axis CNC tool grinder, lubricate all parts of the CNC lathe, check if the gear transmission is normal, and ensure that the push-button switches are reliable and the grinding wheel is intact without damage. Start the grinding wheel to normal processing speed using the start-up lighting method, and run it at high speed for five minutes.
Before installing the five-axis CNC tool grinder, inspect the appearance of the grinding wheel to ensure it is complete. Tapping the grinding wheel should produce a crisp sound, confirming it is undamaged. Place an asbestos pad under the clamping position of the grinding wheel, and perform balancing after clamping. Re-balance after machine installation and dressing, and run the new grinding wheel at high speed for five minutes. The grinding wheel is prohibited from operating at restricted speeds and must not exceed the warning speed. Select the grinding allowance appropriately and avoid overloading during grinding. Before grinding, check if the workpiece is securely sucked or clamped. For high workpieces or workpieces with a small base area, use stop blocks or special fixtures for clamping to prevent malfunctions. Do not stand in front of the grinding wheel when it is rotating during startup to avoid injury from shattered or flying grinding wheel fragments or workpieces. After work, clean the CNC lathe, disconnect the power supply, arrange the parts neatly, and keep the working environment clean.

There are four core technologies in the five-axis CNC tool grinder:
(1) The upright column adopts an integrated gantry structure.
(2) Linear slide blocks are used on the beam mounted on the upright column, with dual servo motors driving ball screws to enable the beam to move synchronously up and down.
(3) A rotating slide rail is used on the beam, with a servo motor driving a ball screw to move the grinding wheel seat left and right on the beam. The five-axis CNC tool grinder can adjust the distance by moving in the plane and the vertical plane.
(4) The grinding wheel adopts a high-speed and high-power high-speed electric spindle.
