Five-axis simultaneous machining is characterized by high efficiency and high precision. It can be applied to today's grinding tools, such as automotive parts, airport components, and more. There is a significant difference between a five-axis machining center and a five-face machining center. Many people are unaware of this and mistakenly refer to a five-face machining center as a five-axis machining center. A five-axis machining center utilizes five axes: x, y, z, a, and c, with xyz and ac axes producing five-axis simultaneous machining. It excels in spatial angled machining, shape machining, hollow carving, drilling holes, angled holes, trimming, and more. A five-face machining center, similar to a three-axis machining center, can only process the other five faces but cannot perform special shape machining, such as punching holes or laser cutting at an angle.
Additionally, the application of five-axis machining centers is very widespread. According to statistics, the current system software for five-axis CNC machining centers is used for processing centrifugal impellers, blades, marine propellers, rotors for overweight generator sets, wheels, and crankshafts for large diesel engines.
